These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your access to and use of the ForageGo mobile application, website and all related services.

By creating an account, accessing or using ForageGo, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced within the service.

If You Do Not Agree

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not create an account or continue using the ForageGo service.

How ForageGo Works

Users can discover findings shared by the community, contribute their own discoveries, confirm existing findings and help improve the quality of the shared map. AI may assist users during the sharing process, but community participation remains at the heart of the platform.

ForageGo exists because of its community. Every responsible contribution helps improve the experience for everyone. Users are encouraged to share accurate information, respect other contributors and help maintain a trustworthy database of findings.

Our Role

ForageGo provides a platform for users to share information. We do not personally verify every finding before it is published. The platform should therefore be viewed as a community resource rather than an official scientific or governmental reference.

Continuous Development

ForageGo is an evolving service. We may introduce new features, improve existing functionality or remove features when necessary to improve security, stability or the overall user experience.

Eligibility & User Accounts

To help maintain a safe and trustworthy community, all users must meet the requirements in this chapter before creating or using a ForageGo account.

Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your country, to create and use a ForageGo account. If local law requires parental consent, such consent must be obtained before using the service.

Creating an Account

Accounts are created using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for ensuring that the information associated with your account is accurate and kept up to date.

One Person, One Account

Each person should maintain only one personal account unless ForageGo has expressly approved otherwise. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, confirmations or community activity is prohibited.

Choosing a Username

Your username must not impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property rights, or contain offensive, misleading or unlawful content. ForageGo may require a username to be changed if it violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

Keeping Your Account Secure

You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple or Google account and for keeping your device secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Suspension or Removal

ForageGo may suspend, restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines or applicable law. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.

We want every ForageGo account to represent a real member of the community. Honest identities and responsible behaviour help create a trusted platform for everyone.

Community Rules

ForageGo is built on trust. Every user contributes to the quality of the community by acting honestly, respectfully and responsibly.

Be Honest

Only share findings that you genuinely believe to be correct. If you are uncertain, make that clear in the description instead of presenting guesses as facts.

Respect Nature

Use ForageGo responsibly. Avoid damaging plants, habitats or wildlife, and always follow local laws and regulations regarding foraging.

Respect Private Property

Do not enter private land without permission. If a finding is located on private land, mark it accordingly when sharing it.

Be Respectful Towards Others

Treat other users with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats or abusive behaviour are not permitted anywhere within the ForageGo service.

Keep Content Relevant

Only upload content related to edible nature and responsible foraging. Spam, advertisements, irrelevant material or intentionally misleading information are prohibited.

Help Improve the Community

If you notice inaccurate findings or inappropriate content, use the reporting tools instead of engaging in arguments. Community feedback helps maintain the quality of the map.

Follow Local Laws

You are responsible for ensuring that your activities comply with the laws and regulations that apply where you are foraging.

Sharing Findings

Sharing discoveries is one of the core features of ForageGo. Every finding you contribute helps build a richer and more valuable map for the community. To maintain the quality and trustworthiness of the platform, all shared findings must follow the rules in this chapter.

Accuracy

Only share findings that you genuinely believe to be correct. If you are uncertain about the identification of a species, you should clearly state your uncertainty instead of presenting the information as fact.

Photographs

You should upload clear photographs that represent the actual finding. The photograph should be your own and should not infringe the rights of others.

Location Information

When creating a finding, you are responsible for selecting the correct land ownership (public or private). GPS information should accurately represent where the finding was made.

AI Assistance

ForageGo may use artificial intelligence to suggest categories, species or descriptions. These suggestions are provided for convenience only. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-generated information before publishing your finding.

Editing Findings

You may edit your own findings after publication where the service allows it. This includes correcting categories, descriptions or visibility settings. You may not edit or modify findings created by other users.

Prohibited Content

Do not upload intentionally false information, misleading photographs, copyrighted material belonging to others, spam, advertisements or any unlawful content.

Community Value

By sharing a finding, you contribute to a long-term community resource that may help other users discover edible nature for many years to come.

User Content & Ownership

ForageGo is built on content contributed by its community. This chapter explains who owns that content and the rights granted when it is shared through the platform.

Your Ownership

You retain ownership of the photographs, descriptions and other original content that you create and upload to ForageGo. Uploading content does not transfer ownership to ForageGo.

Licence to ForageGo

By publishing a finding, you grant ForageGo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute your content within the ForageGo service. This licence exists solely to operate, improve and promote the service.

Community Contributions

Published findings become part of the shared ForageGo community map. Other users may view and interact with your contributions in accordance with these Terms and the features available within the app.

Your Responsibility

You confirm that you own the content you upload or have the necessary rights to share it. You must not upload material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or any other rights belonging to another person or organisation.

Removal of Content

ForageGo may edit, hide or remove content that violates these Terms, Community Guidelines or applicable law. Where practical, we will seek to act fairly and consistently when moderating user content.

After Account Deletion

Deleting your account does not automatically remove community findings that you have shared. As described in our Privacy Policy, those contributions may remain available as part of the community map while your personal identifiers are removed or anonymised where appropriate.

AI Identification & User Responsibility

ForageGo uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist users when creating findings. AI is designed to make sharing easier and faster, but it should always be considered an assistant—not an expert.

AI Suggestions

AI may suggest a category, species, description or season based on the photograph and information you provide. These suggestions are generated automatically and may not always be correct.

Your Responsibility

Before publishing a finding, you are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated suggestions. You should only publish information that you reasonably believe to be accurate.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

ForageGo does not guarantee that AI-generated identifications or suggestions are correct. AI may misidentify species, overlook important details or produce incomplete information.

Never Rely Solely on AI

You should never rely exclusively on AI when identifying edible plants, mushrooms, berries, fruit, herbs or other natural resources. Always use your own judgement and consult reliable sources whenever you are uncertain.

Community Improvements

Corrections made by users and feedback from the community help improve the overall quality of information available through ForageGo. Responsible participation benefits everyone.

Future Development

ForageGo may improve, replace or remove AI features over time as technology develops. The availability and accuracy of AI-assisted features may therefore change without notice.

Nature, Safety & Foraging Disclaimer

ForageGo is intended to help people discover and share edible nature. However, foraging always involves personal responsibility and natural risks. This chapter explains the limits of ForageGo's role.

For Information Purposes Only

ForageGo provides community-generated information and AI-assisted suggestions for informational purposes only. Nothing within the service should be considered professional, scientific or medical advice.

Always Verify Before Consuming

You are solely responsible for identifying any mushroom, berry, fruit, herb, nut, plant or other natural resource before consuming it. If you are uncertain, do not eat it.

Natural Variation

Species can vary depending on age, weather, region and growing conditions. Photographs and descriptions may not represent every characteristic of a specimen found in nature.

Use at Your Own Risk

You accept full responsibility for your own decisions while using ForageGo, including where you forage, what you collect and what you choose to consume.

Health and Allergies

ForageGo cannot assess individual allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions. Always consider your own health circumstances before consuming wild foods.

No Liability for Foraging Decisions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForageGo is not responsible for illness, injury, poisoning, allergic reactions, property damage or other losses arising from reliance on information shared through the service.

Intellectual Property

This chapter explains the ownership of the ForageGo platform, its content and the rights granted to users.

Ownership of ForageGo

Unless otherwise stated, the ForageGo name, logo, design, software, source code, graphics, icons, text, databases and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to ForageGo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Limited Licence to Use the Service

So long as you comply with these Terms, ForageGo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce or otherwise exploit any part of the ForageGo platform except where expressly permitted by law or with our prior written permission.

Your Content

Prohibited Conduct

False or Misleading Information

Do not intentionally upload false findings, misleading photographs or inaccurate information that could deceive other users.

Abuse of the Platform

Do not use automated tools, bots, scripts or other methods to manipulate rankings, confirmations, searches or any other feature of the service.

Illegal Activity

You may not use ForageGo to support, encourage or participate in unlawful activities, including trespassing, theft, vandalism or violations of environmental regulations.

Harassment and Offensive Behaviour

Threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, bullying or abusive behaviour towards other users will not be tolerated.

Spam and Commercial Use

Do not use ForageGo to distribute spam, unsolicited promotions, advertisements or unrelated commercial content without our written permission.

Security Violations

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software or exploit vulnerabilities.

Circumventing Enforcement

You must not attempt to bypass suspensions, create replacement accounts after being banned or otherwise evade moderation actions taken by ForageGo.

Consequences

Depending on the severity of the violation, ForageGo may issue warnings, remove content, temporarily suspend accounts or permanently terminate access to the service.

Account Suspension & Termination

To protect the integrity of the ForageGo community, we may take action against accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines or applicable law.

In less serious situations, we may issue a warning and give you an opportunity to correct your behaviour before taking further action.

Temporary Suspension

We may temporarily suspend your account while investigating suspected misuse, repeated rule violations or security concerns. During a suspension, access to some or all features may be restricted.

Permanent Termination

We may permanently terminate an account for serious or repeated violations, including fraud, intentional misinformation, abusive behaviour, unlawful activity or attempts to compromise the security of the platform.

Removal of Content

When an account is suspended or terminated, ForageGo may remove or restrict access to content that violates these Terms. Community findings that do not violate the rules may remain available in accordance with our Privacy Policy and these Terms.

Appeals

If you believe your account has been suspended or terminated by mistake, you may contact us at hello@foragego.com. We will review your request in good faith, but all moderation decisions remain at the discretion of ForageGo.

Your Right to Leave

You may stop using ForageGo and delete your account at any time. Account deletion is subject to the provisions described in our Privacy Policy regarding community contributions and data retention.

Limitation of Liability

Much of the information available through ForageGo is provided by users or generated with AI assistance. We do not verify every finding before it is published and cannot guarantee that all information is complete, accurate or up to date.

Availability of the Service

We aim to keep ForageGo available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, internet outages or events beyond our control may affect the availability of the service.

Use at Your Own Risk

Your use of ForageGo is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own decisions, including identifying species, choosing where to forage and deciding whether to consume any natural resource.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ForageGo, its owner and its service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Nothing Excludes Mandatory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected where they apply.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and any additional policies referenced within the service, constitute the entire agreement between you and ForageGo regarding your use of the platform.
